There are many times when Tintin undertakes some kind of trip or excursion to investigate and discover all kinds of plots led by evil characters.

This time, Tintin, Haddock and Snowy travel to Klow to meet Professor Calculus. Once at the airport, they are taken by the SEPO to the base where they will meet the professor, who will explain to them that he is building a rocket to travel to the Moon, with his inseparable friends, of course.

Once at the base where the XFLR-6 prototype is being manufactured, an unknown plane flies overhead and three parachutists jump out. While they are being hunted down to arrest them, Tintin decides to take a short excursion to conduct his own investigation.
